The predictor considers:

  • General / OBC / SC / ST / EWS reservation
  • Home state quota (NITs)
  • Gender-neutral / female-only seats
  • Branch demand
  • Previous seat allotment trends
  • Round-wise JoSAA cutoffs
  • Choice order strategy

Your rank is close to expected cutoff trends for selected colleges.

Not Eligible

These colleges are highly competitive based on previous JoSAA cutoff data.

JoSAA College Predictor FAQs

What is the JoSAA College Predictor?

It estimates which IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs you can realistically be allotted, based on your JEE rank, category, and home state, compared against previous JoSAA closing ranks.

Do I need my JEE Advanced rank?

No. Your JEE Main rank alone predicts NITs, IIITs and GFTIs — the large majority of JoSAA seats. Adding a JEE Advanced rank is what makes IITs eligible, since IIT admission requires one.

What do Eligible, Moderate and Not Eligible mean?

Eligible means your rank sits comfortably within previous closing ranks. Moderate means you are close to the expected cutoff and the outcome depends on the round. Not Eligible means the seat closed well above your rank in previous years.

Does home state quota affect JoSAA allotment?

Yes. Home state quota applies to NITs and can significantly improve admission chances for domicile candidates. The predictor factors it in when you select your home state.

Can I test different choice orders?

Yes. Once you have your college list, the JoSAA choice simulator lets you order your preferences and see round-wise allotment, plus a freeze, float or slide recommendation.

Is the JoSAA predictor accurate?

It is based on historical JoSAA cutoff data and seat allotment trends. Actual results vary with yearly seat matrix changes, competition, and the choice order you fill.
